Take the first step towards becoming a licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer.
Studying a Foundation Degree in Aircraft Engineering at Kingston University is your first step towards a full honours degree qualification. You’ll complete the course ready to progress onto the Aircraft Engineering top-up course.
During the year, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to put your skills into practice. Exeter College’s £8.3m Technology Centre features state-of-the-art equipment and facilities – perfect for helping aerospace, engineering and automotive students level up their learning.
Through a blend of theory and practical teaching, you’ll cultivate key engineering and maintenance skills and learn how to be proactive in your personal and professional development.
You’ll learn at Exeter College, and receive your qualification from Kingston University.

The programme is accredited by the Royal Aeronautical Society as partially satisfying the educational requirements for registration as an Incorporated Engineer.

What you will study
The course is operated in accordance with the KU Undergraduate Regulations and modules are compulsory; there are no optional modules available. To be awarded a FdEng Aircraft Engineering, students must pass all 240 credits. A student is eligible for the award of a Certificate of Higher Education (CertHE) provided they successfully complete at least 120 credits of the programme at level 4 or above.
