This Summer School aim to provide an overview of the main Machine Learning and Deep Learning methods and their application to geophysical, geological, environmental and geographical data, keeping a more practical flavour.

Fiber-optic sensing has rapidly emerged as a transformative technology for monitoring and understanding different geological, geophysical, and environmental processes. By exploiting existing telecommunication infrastructure or purpose-built cables, distributed fiber-optic sensing, such as Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS), Distributed Temperature Sensing (DTS), and Distributed Strain Sensing (DSS), enable high-resolution measurements across large spatial and temporal scales.

The Geoeconomic Risks and Strategic Intelligence specialty of the "International Strategy Analyst" title trains experts capable of anticipating and managing the strategic challenges of a globalized world. Upon completion of their training, students, trained at the intersection of economics, geopolitics, and strategy, will acquire solid skills to anticipate and respond to the strategic challenges of a globalized world. It aims to provide students with the knowledge, know-how, and interpersonal skills to transform organizations from within in the face of current upheavals. They will be able to understand the risks associated with international crime, dependence on raw materials, and industrial oligopolies in an increasingly fragmented and constrained global market. They will have the intellectual and methodological tools and skills to conduct studies and translate their analyses into operational terms.

Geology is the study of the Earth, its rocks, and how they change over time. Geology students explore the Earth's crust movement, the history of life on Earth, and past climates. It is vital for mineral and fossil fuel exploration, managing water resources, and solving environmental problems.
