Figure drawing provides an introduction to basic knowledge of human proportion, anatomy, movement and composition. The main goal of the course is to provide students with knowledge of, and practice in, drawing based on principles of linear construction. The understanding of linear construction prepares the students for more complex problems in Figure drawing 2 and 3. The course consists of lectures and practical excersises with guidance.

Through drawing exercises with guidance and lectures, the goal is to develop observational skills and advanced problem solving in drawing. The student should learn how to apply knowledge from drawing classes to work in animation and other artistic fiields. For english speaking exchange students: Admission for exchange students is based exclusively on portfolio assessment. All exchange students must submit a link to their online portfolio, together with the application documents.
