7 Educational Practice Course Programs

This course is an exciting opportunity for educational professionals and parents to come together to learn more about a range of special educational needs (SEN). The course is suited to a wide range of educational professionals, especially those in mainstream education, who would benefit from acquiring a basic overview of and introduction to SEN. This is a practical, professional development course rather than an in-depth Master’s module.

The emphasis of this major is to provide candidates with professional coursework needed to pursue a career in education-related roles. This major does not lead to teacher licensure. All areas include field experience in area schools. Students complete capstone projects during their senior year related to their chosen area of study. Students are required to select a minor with Educational Studies coursework. Programs are offered in the following areas: Education Paraprofessional Students take education courses related to planning, teaching, assessing, and managing learning environments in preparation for becoming an organizational aide. Education Research and Writing Students take coursework related to social science research, professional writing, educational methods, policy, process, and assessment.

This qualification provides an introduction to the theory and practice of education and training. The course has no teaching practice requirement and can be taken by individuals who are not currently in a teaching role. In this course you will cover the following: Understand the roles, responsibilities and associated relationships in education and training. Understanding and using inclusive teaching and learning approaches in education and training.

The Specialization in Educational Communication assumes a commitment in the promotion of communication processes and training for the management of conflicts and citizenship, based on the study and appropriation of the components that determine the role of communication and training processes in the generation of a new sense of social interaction and of the democratic life of Colombian society.

Residencies and Institutes are embedded in the GSE and K–12 schools and are facilitated by HTH students, teachers and school leaders, as well as faculty from the GSE.

This Unit Standard will provide recognition for those who conduct or intend to conduct targeted training and development using given methodologies, including group training, group facilitation and presentations. Formal recognition will enhance their employability and also provide a means to identify competent trainers.

The course is aimed at apprentices who take care of the daily training of students/apprentices. Students/apprentices are not the same, and therefore it is important to have tools that ensure constructive and trust-building dialogue with the student/apprentice as well as knowledge of learning styles that support effective learning. It is also important to ensure professional progression in training, which creates coherence in the overall training course. On this course, you will learn more about the tools you as an apprentice can use to promote the well-being and retention of the student/apprentice in the training course, to the benefit of the student/apprentice and the place of learning.
