Join us for our Beekeeping Taster Day, designed for those intrigued by honey bees or contemplating beekeeping as a hobby. This one-day course provides a comprehensive overview of various aspects related to beekeeping, making it an ideal starting point for beginners. Throughout the day, participants will delve into the fascinating biology and ecology of honey bees, gaining insights into their behaviour, life cycle, and role in pollination. You'll learn about essential equipment needed for beekeeping, available gadgets and tools, as well as common pests and diseases to be aware of.

Join us for our Beehive & Frame Assembly Day, a one-day practical course held in our workshops where you'll learn the ins and outs of assembling a beehive. Each participant will receive their own cedar National Beehive kit to assemble, and all necessary tools will be provided. During the course, our experienced tutor will guide you through the assembly process step by step. You'll learn how to construct the roof, brood box, supers, floor, and frames with precision and care. In addition to hands-on instruction, you'll receive a comprehensive handout covering the hive's history, assembly tips, and advice on purchasing equipment and starting in beekeeping.
