Key Summary
Join us for our Beehive & Frame Assembly Day, a one-day practical course held in our workshops where you'll learn the ins and outs of assembling a beehive. Each participant will receive their own cedar National Beehive kit to assemble, and all necessary tools will be provided. During the course, our experienced tutor will guide you through the assembly process step by step. You'll learn how to construct the roof, brood box, supers, floor, and frames with precision and care. In addition to hands-on instruction, you'll receive a comprehensive handout covering the hive's history, assembly tips, and advice on purchasing equipment and starting in beekeeping.
This course, combined with our taster day, provides an ideal introduction to beekeeping and hive maintenance. Whether you're a beginner or looking to refine your skills, this practical workshop will equip you with the knowledge and confidence to start your beekeeping journey. Please ensure you come prepared with outdoor clothing, sturdy footwear suitable for workshop environments, and a notebook and pen to jot down valuable insights. To secure your spot, we recommend booking at least two weeks in advance of the course date.
