5 Construction Degree Programs in Italy

The Master in Sacred Art aims at offering theoretical and practical training in the field of sacred and religious art. This sector, deeply rooted in Italian culture and tradition constitutes a significant percentage of the Italian artistic heritage. The three specializations to choose from for the Master are Painting, Sculpture, and Goldsmithing.

Objective of the course is to transmit to the student knowledge and skills in building technology and construction, in production and management engineering, in law, in economics, in information technology, and in land planning; to provide methods and tools to be used for technical-economic evaluation on purchase or on designing the requalification of buildings.

The program links the fundamental disciplines of Civil Engineering (design and construction of civil and environmental structures and infrastructures) with a broad overview of the most advanced Risk Management tools, with particular attention to forecasting and prevention issues concerning structures and infrastructures and soil, on which they are built or embedded, due to natural and anthropic causes.

The PhD program (according to the Italian Dottorato di Ricerca) is a postgraduate academic qualification. It represents the implementation of the 3rd cycle of education and training to research (according to the Bologna accord) in the Italian academic system and provides the abilities and competencies required for carrying out highly-qualified research in universities, public institutions and private companies.

The two-year Master of Science in Civil Engineering provides students with a sound preparation on these structures and on infrastructures, allowing them to choose a curriculum (or ‘track’) among the five available: General, Geotechnics, Hydraulics, Infrastructures, and Structures.
