Basic computer science skills are the perfect complement to any degree program at Concordia. The Minor in Computer Science is designed to meet the growing demand for computer-literate professionals, and may offer students more career opportunities after graduation. This minor must be combined with a major, specialization or honours program. 

The Computer Systems and Technology program at Keyano College allows students to integrate software development and hardware skills. Courses in the program include computer graphics, digital hardware, data communications and networking. Students have the opportunity to demonstrate their theoretical knowledge during laboratory classes. This program was designed to give students the potential to enter careers in programming, network administration, software development, gaming programming, database management, and PC and network support.

The Certificate in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science program will prepare students with the in-demand knowledge and skills required to design and build data-driven systems for decision-making in the private or public sectors upon graduation. Students will learn about Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data Science through training in predictive, descriptive, and prescriptive analytics.

Students will develop the knowledge and competency to be able to understand and implement a basic Access® database. You will be taught how to develop a database project from its inception through to its basic completion. During this class, students will learn how to design and implement tables, forms, and reports. They will also learn how to find any record by utilizing queries.

This Microsoft PowerPoint 2013 Certification Guide teaches the information worker how to create and manage presentations using a variety of core and intermediate features. Some topics may appear to be basic skill sets but are discussed in more detail, exploring at a higher level different options that can be chosen or applied for that skill set.Students who complete this course will have reviewed all of the exam objectives and be prepared to take the Microsoft Office Specialist PowerPoint 2013 Exam #77-422.

This Microsoft Access 2013 Certification Guide teaches students how to design data tables, select appropriate data types and relate tables logically. Students will create and modify database objects including tables, forms, reports, queries and macros, and will apply intermediate skills to streamline data entry, ensure data integrity, automate tasks and analyze data.

This Microsoft Outlook 2013 teaches the information worker how to use the variouselements such as Mail, Calendar or Contacts to coordinate communications and collaborations with others. Theuser will acquire fundamental concepts and skills, building on this foundation as they increase their productivityin communication and sharing information with others.

This Microsoft Word 2013 Level 2 teaches the information worker how to apply some intermediate skills alongwith basic skill sets to work with business documents such as letters, forms, and newsletters. The user willacquire fundamental concepts and skills, building on this foundation as they continue to increase theirproductivity to apply creative features and enhance various documents.

This Microsoft Excel 2013 Level 2 Guide teaches the information worker how to work with intermediate oradvanced features for business reports such as charts to show trends or patterns, what-if scenarios, or table anddatabase functions. The information worker will also look at more functions to set up more complexcalculations.

System Centre Configuration Manager course focuses primarily on the Pre-installation requirements, examining the current computing environment, CAS, primary and secondary sites, branch cache, designing and recommending System Center Configuration Manager server architecture, extending the Active Directory schema (DNS service records, WINS), managed providers, discovery methods, and planning migration.
