10 Economics BBA Degree Programs in Hong Kong

The BBA (Hons) in Professional Accountancy equips students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills, preparing them for professional careers in accounting and related fields. The curriculum covers financial reporting, management accounting, auditing, taxation, law, financial management, ESG, ethics, contemporary computer technology and accounting information systems. Most of our teachers are qualified accountants with practical industry experience. Our graduates receive exemptions from various professional examinations.

Applicants to this programme will be considered for admission to first-year studies at the Department of Economics and Finance. Students will enter a major (current major options: Business Economics; Finance) after one year of study.

The BBA - Economics and Data Analytics Concentration offers knowledge of economic reasoning and data analytics - a powerful combination that meets the employers' demand nowadays.

The programme aims to equip students with a solid foundation of economics knowledge and training in research skills so that they can conduct economic analysis in decision-making and evaluate the impacts of economic issues in a business environment. The practical training focuses on the analysis of real-world economic issues through hands-on training on a variety of research software programmes for data analysis.

Our BBA Accountancy program offers two streams. The Professional Accounting stream is designed to equip students with accounting knowledge and professional skills for the profession. The ESG and Tech stream is designed to equip students with digital technology, risk management, and data analytical skills, in addition to the fundamental accounting knowledge.

The BBA (Honours) in Finance and Banking aims at providing students with the necessary skills and professional knowledge for developing the career in financial and banking management positions or pursuing further studies at postgraduate level. Upon completion of BBA (Honours) in FB, graduates are well equipped with both qualitative and quantitative knowledge in positioning themselves at business and government sectors.

The BBA (Hons) in Corporate Governance and Compliance aims to provide students with the necessary knowledge so that graduates are prepared for career development as corporate governance and compliance professionals. Upon completion of the BBA-CGC, graduates will be able to develop a good understanding of the laws and regulations in corporate governance and assist the board of directors in implementing an effective compliance system. Our goal is to nurture graduates with entrepreneurial spirit and a strong foundation in laws, regulations and the practice of compliance.

The BBA - Accounting Concentration provides a balance of breadth and depth in the discipline, with a view to producing accountants with a much-needed analytical and conceptual mind.

Students will gain one of the following awards upon successful completion of the programme: BBA (Hons) in Accountancy; BBA (Hons) in Accounting and Finance and BBA (Hons) in Digital Finance and Investment
