You take anIntroduction to Politicsmodule alongside your history modules in your first year, and continue to combine modern history and politics modules in your second and third years. There is a range of relevant options to choose from in both departments and you choose to write your final-year dissertation in either politics or history.

The practical and research activities of the bachelor of history are aimed at studying the history of the Fatherland and world civilizations, domestic and foreign historiography, source studies, theory and research methodology with the aim of a professional understanding of the socio-cultural and political conditions for the development of the modern world, identifying sustainable trends in historical dynamics, forecasting the future.

We offer five curricula in history and three in interdisciplinary studies, plus a minor in history and a minor in African Diaspora Studies. A degree in History provides students with a critical intellectual framework to assess and understand human affairs. The degree is made up of 120 credit hours that include classes in History, Geography, Political Science among others.
