BA in Teaching English and Global Education encompasses all things culture and language, prioritizing the use of non-formal teaching methods, developing the lifelong learner, and providing experiential learning opportunities.

The BA in Music Education provides a variety of experiences that prepare talented individuals to meet the challenges of teaching K-12 choral, instrumental and general music in the 21st Century.

Students in the Art Education program must earn a 3.0-grade point average in their education courses and have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 at the time of application for student teaching. The Michigan Teacher Certification Regulations require that students take forty (40) credit hours of general or liberal education. These courses are intended to serve the same purpose as Siena Heights University\’s Liberal Arts Studies, that is, to ensure that a prospective teacher has some background in each of the traditional academic disciplines.

BA in Sports Recreation & Wellness encompasses all things sports, recreation, wellness, health education and services, as well as the sports industry, community, and fitness fields, prioritizing the use of non-formal teaching methods, developing the lifelong learner, and providing experiential learning opportunities.

So, you’ll not only hone your skills in mathematical concepts and applications, but you’ll also acquire a solid foundation in educational methods, learning and development, and instructional technologies.

The art education program at Moravian University places child-centered teaching and learning theories into practice. As children and adolescents create works of art about big ideas that matter to themselves and others, they are problem-solving and problem-seeking. As they create works of art based on ideas shaped through dialogue with their peers and teachers, they are constructing new knowledge about their experiences in and through the world.

The goal of the Health and Physical Education Program at West Liberty University is to provide instruction and activities in required course work designed to produce teachers of health and physical education, coaches, recreation leaders, health specialists, and athletic administrators; and to prepare students for graduate work and further training in the allied areas.

Students majoring in Music Education will be able to complete their degree in four years. Very few programs are able to offer that. Here at Siena Heights, we have a small, flexible program that is able to do it. With a theme of “Committed to Excellence,” the SHU Music Department wants its students to receive the background and experience to teach in a variety of fields, including instrumental and chorale.

The Bachelor of Arts in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) is designed for students who want to engage with international populations in the US or abroad. It is rooted in a desire to communicate with people from different languages and cultural backgrounds from the dual perspective of teachers who wish to serve international sojourners in the US and those who want to journey abroad to engage with students in their home cultures.

Through collaboration between Trevecca’s Social and Behavioral Sciences Department and the School of Education, this program helps students to turn a love for learning history into a rewarding career cultivating the education of today's youth. The art education program is intended for students planning to be certified as teachers of children in grades K-12, incorporating state and national standards for the discipline of art.

Trevecca’s Bachelor of Arts in English education is an interdisciplinary program that gives you a foundation for becoming an effective and engaging English teacher in grades 6-12, equipping you to teach important skills like reading, spelling, composition, and critical thinking.
