One of Florida Tech’s most prestigious space science degree programs, the planetary science degree option is designed to meet the needs of students intending to pursue graduate studies in space physics, geophysical sciences, and planetary sciences.

The Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Physics is geared toward students seeking to be a part of the creation, design, and implementation of the technologies of the future in state-of-the-art research centers as well as world-class technology companies. To achieve this goal, students will acquire the fundamentals of Modern Physics, Chemistry, and Biology along with their application to engineering problems in areas where scientific and technological developments.

Do you want to develop advanced optical techniques to study quantum, bio-, and nanomaterials? Do you want to build materials bottom-up to achieve novel quantum properties? Are you fascinated by how complex soft and biological matter follows the laws of physics? The Experimental Physics Master's programme will challenge you to go beyond your curiosity and fascination.

The programme focusses on the relevant nuclear physics and nuclear chemistry aspects for a medical physicist. You will become familiar with the structure and functioning of the human body, as well as with the biological effects and health risks and safety issues related with ionising radiation. You further get acquainted with basic techniques and specialised methods in radiotherapy, radiology or nuclear medicine.

The Master’s Degree Programme in Physics provided by the Faculty of Mathematics and Science is a two-year (120 ECTS) full-time programme taught in English. Applications for this master's degree programme can be submitted once a year in January, and once accepted, your studies will begin in September. From this programme, you will graduate with a Master of Science degree.

The A.S. degree in Physical Science provides students with a breadth of understanding of the physical sciences, in addition to a depth of knowledge in the specialized fields of astronomy, chemistry, geology, and physics. The program is designed to prepare students for transfer to baccalaureate institutions as majors in Physical Science or related science disciplines.

Physics students will be trained in the research groups working on the new Fermilab initiatives, the mu2e, muon (g-2), Nova experiments, as well as future neutrino physics experiments, or in the Fermilab group which collaborates with the cms experiment at CERN, or in the theory group. for some students, the internship may take place in other US laboratories or universities.

Unique in the country, the Faculty of Geology and Geophysics originates in three faculties geologically and geophysically organized after the Education Reform in 1948. Today the traditions of Romanian geology continue to a high level of scientific and didactic approach, on the background of modernization and permanent updating.
