The Computer Systems Technology program is designed with extensive input from the industry and offers two optional specializations in its third year. The Networking specialization focuses on network security, voice-over-IP (VoIP), and wireless LANs. The Systems specialization focuses on mail server administration, content management systems (Collaboration), database administration, and computer security. Both specializations include core courses on infrastructure virtualization (through the VMWare IT Academy) and cloud computing, along with best practices in Information Technology.

This qualification reflects the role of individuals in a variety of information and communications technology (ICT) roles who have significant experience in specialist technical skills, or managerial business and people management skills.

The Network and Cloud Administration course begins with the essentials of computer hardware and operating systems foundations. Then it moves onto Microsoft network technology. Students will learn how to install and configure Microsoft servers and networks. Further they will gain in-depth knowledge of cloud-based Microsoft Windows Network Systems and Windows Security. Students will also learn the fundamentals of CISCO switches and routers and Linux Administration. They will then move to Google cloud solution and AWS cloud solution. This will introduce students to the advanced topics of the program. Upon successful completion of this program, students will be awarded a diploma and able to take and pass the related certification exams.

This qualification provides you with the skills and knowledge to work in a variety of information and communicationstechnology (ICT) roles with established specialised skills in a technical ICT function.Graduates in these roles carry out moderately complex tasks in a specialist field, working independently, as part of a team or leading a deliverable with others.
