4 Stone Carving Degree Programs

City & Guilds of London Art School is proud to offer the UK’s only BA(Hons) Degree and MA in Stone Carving and Woodcarving. The Art School has an unbroken tradition of teaching sculpture, stone carving, and woodcarving since it was founded in 1879. We play a crucial role in keeping alive the skills essential for preserving the world’s most important monuments and buildings.

City & Guilds of London Art School is proud to offer the UK’s only Historic Carving Postgraduate Diploma, specializing in either Stone Carving or Woodcarving. Our Postgraduate Diploma may be used to facilitate a change of career from another discipline or to extend the possibilities of a current practice as a sculptor, carver or mason.

The School of Skilled Trades at the Kingston Campus offers the in-school study portion of the Brick and Stone Masonry Apprenticeship Program for students already registered and working in the trade, as defined by the Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development. The Brick and Stone Masonry Apprenticeship in-school training focuses on the theoretical knowledge required to master the performance objectives of the Training Standards for this trade.
