Planning and programming are major components of programme management by any health system actor such as governments, national and international non-governmental organisations and the private sector: being able to plan well and set up effective programmes is a key competence of any health programme manager and health sector consultant.

This module puts rights at the centre of SHRH: Organising Equitable Responses and builds on contemporary evidence to critically analyse effective responses across the constituent parts of the health system and beyond. Participants critically examine synergies and efficiencies, and the trade-offs that need to be made in the process of service strengthening within and beyond the domain of SRHR.

The Core Course in Public Health and Health Equity is a 3 months course that prepares you to systematically analyse and address complex public health issues, covering epidemiology, health system aspects, and broader social determinants of health. The course focuses on health equity in low-resource settings and high-resource settings with disadvantaged populations. It can be taken as a stand-alone course or as part of the Master of Science in Public Health and Health Equity. It forms also part of the post-graduate training programme for physicians leading to a diploma as MD Global Health (AIGT).

In the Summer Course in Governing Climate Change: Theory and Practice, participants will delve into the examination of diverse approaches for coping with climate change, encompassing international agreements, market-based solutions, civil society initiatives, and corporate actions.
