The Diploma in Interactive Technologies and Game Design prepares graduates to work in the growing information technology industry that combines management, marketing, internet, multimedia, networking, and software technologies to enhance business efficiency.

Interaction Design is an interdisciplinary field merging design skills such as user experience, interface development, and graphic design with coding fundamentals to create meaningful experiences between the user and digital platforms such as social media, websites, wearables, and mobile devices.

This programme teaches you to build systems and logic for games and interactive experiences. You will design and develop 3D productions with a focus on user experience. The programme is more technically focused than our other 3D programmes and includes tasks such as making objects respond to player actions, such as opening a door when the player presses a button.

This is a two-week extensive hands-on course in interaction design. The main goal of the course is to empower people to shape their digital environment thus providing a new level of digital literacy. The Associate of Fine Arts in Graphic and Interactive Design prepares students who intend to transfer to Bachelor of Fine Arts programs at four-year institutions and professional schools of art. In this program, students pursue rigorous training and art education in two-dimensional graphics, new media, and motion graphic arts. The College has well-equipped studios and computer systems to support this major.

In Digital Interactive Media you will gain skills and knowledge in industry-standard graphics packages to develop a range of projects. This might include advertisements, logos, 2D and 3D animations, web pages and design and layout techniques, in addition to undertaking work experience as part of the 2-year course.

The Drafting Design program prepares student to take ideas, sketches and specifications and bring them to life. Students work with industry software and other hands on applications to learn industry standards for creating professional drawings in the architecture and mechanical fields. Channel your creativity as well as your mathematical, science and engineering skills into a career as a drafter. Using the latest industry software, students learn to create technical drawings that feature details, dimensions, materials and procedures used to build manufactured products, plus residential/commercial buildings and architectural drafting.

Similar to the web and interactive media certificate, this degree provides students with the web development, technical programming, and graphic design skills necessary to build web and multimedia sites. In addition, it includes capstone courses that develop creative and practical skills beyond what is taught in the certificate program, as well as coursework that meets the general education requirements for a Schoolcraft associate in applied science (AAS) degree. The degree strengthens the student’s position in the profession and gives the student an academic credential with a higher standing.

The Digital & Interactive Media Production, AS program is designed to equip students with skills that prepare them for entry-level positions in media, multimedia, editing, producing, and related professions, embracing excellence and diversity. We focus on broad, transferable skills, and stress understanding and demonstration of the following elements of the media production industry: audience analysis and estimation, media literacy, interpersonal and business communications, employability skills.
