3 Dance Preparatory Programs in Oceania

The Associate Degree has a strong focus on and commitment to excellence in the practice of dance. The goal is to develop highly skilled, disciplined, knowledgeable, and versatile dance artists, in an atmosphere which supports and encourages them, as they strive to reach that technical, creative, and scholarly excellence.

This course is designed specifically for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Developing Artists who may have no prior dance or cultural training. Some Developing Artists may have a low social economic background, traditionally disengaged in formal learning. Throughout the course Developing Artists will engage with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, developing cultural connections, learning dance, and song specific to each community. These skills vary from community to community.

This course is designed specifically for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Developing Artists who may have no prior training but limited cultural knowledge. A selection of Developing Artist may have come from a low social economic background, traditionally disengaged in formal learning.
