This program is designed for students who wish a broad knowledge of liberal arts and sciences, plus additional coursework in an "Area of Emphasis." This program would be an ideal choice for students planning on transferring to the California State University (CSU) or University of California (UC), as the student may satisfy their general education requirements, plus focus on transferable coursework relating to baccalaureate majors at these institutions.

The Computer Systems Technology program is designed with extensive input from the industry and offers two optional specializations in its third year. The Networking specialization focuses on network security, voice-over-IP (VoIP), and wireless LANs. The Systems specialization focuses on mail server administration, content management systems (Collaboration), database administration, and computer security.
