24 Childcare Management Preparatory Programs

This course prepares students for a range of careers in childcare at supervisory management level and can provide an appropriate pathway for gaining Early Years Teaching Status (EYTS). The course is run in partnership with the University of Bolton.

Keyano College's Applied ELCC Certificate program incorporates this philosophy, providing students with the skills and credentials needed to work in the childcare field.

Apprentices must successfully complete a Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification and Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid. You then have the opportunity to progress onto a higher level/degree apprenticeship or further full time education at university. Successful learners can also continue to work within the childcare and gain promotion, possible job roles include: Childcare Assistant, Nursery Assistant, Pre – School Assistant and Nanny.

The Early Years Educator Qualification is the must-have qualification. It is for all those wanting to work with children from birth to five years of age.

Child advocacy refers to a range of individuals, professionals and advocacy organizations who speak out on the best interests of children. An individual or organization engaging in advocacy typically seeks to protect children’s rights which may be abridged or abused in a number of areas. A child advocate will try to prevent children from being harmed and may try to obtain justice for those who have already been injured in some way. A child advocate may also seek to ensure that children have access to positive influences or services which will benefit their lives such as education, childcare and proper parenting.

The Level 1 course enables you to gain valuable skills and work experience to progress onto further study and move towards the early year’s career of your choice.

This qualification is designed for adult learners to build the knowledge and skills needed when working under supervision with children and young people from birth to 19 years of age.

The Associate in Applied Science: Major in Early Care and Education degree is designed to prepare students for a variety of careers working with children and families in early care and education. Academic, technical, and professional knowledge and skills are cultivated by learning opportunities based on best practices and current research in the field.

Keyano College's Early Learning and Child Care Certificate program gives you the skills and credentials needed to work in the child care field. Learn how to create child-centred play programs, give guidance through problem solving, and inspire learning. You'll gain practical experience with children and learn the best practices for child care at each stage of a child's development.

This is an exciting new course that combines a mixture of technical knowledge and works placement to give you the skills and experience you need to work with children. You will learn about child development, observing children, working with families and special educational needs and disabilities. In addition to this, you will also learn about child psychology, laws and different job roles within the education sector.

As an embedded certificate within the Associate Degree in Child Development, the program provides the understanding of the emotional, cognitive, physical, & social development of infants through pre-school age, preparing students in the design and implementation of developmentally appropriate curriculum, as well as communication, teaching, and guidance.

This programme has been designed alongside the University of Hertfordshire and Consortium colleges to enable students to progress onto the University's BA (Hons) Degree in Early Childhood Education Studies.
