7 Anatomy Preparatory Programs

The course offers an in-depth exploration of the structure and function of the central nervous system, with strong emphasis on clinical relevance. Stretching from bench to bedside, the course enables students to understand the relationship between anatomical structures and systems and different neurological disorders.

Anatomy education at Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine is greatly enhanced by a newly-renovated 2,225 sq. ft. gross anatomy lab, that features dissection tables, digital anatomy workstations, scrubs stations, and sizable storage space for instructional models and anatomical specimens. The incorporation of digital anatomy, which can encompass everything from sectional and radiological images through the microscopic anatomy of embryology and histology, makes the lab a versatile addition to the educational resources available to students. The infrastructure, plus the vista of the Mesilla Valley through the lab windows, makes the gross anatomy lab an inviting space for discovery and in which to learn human structure and function.
