This curriculum provides fundamental accounting concepts for students who wish to pursue accounting degrees at four-year institutions. The program also prepares students with adequate accounting training for accounting and bookkeeping positions. Students interested in becoming a CPA will find this program particularly useful.

This degree allows you to earn an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Business focusing on either Entrepreneurship or Global Logistics. It's designed so that students earn certificates that add up to a degree. An Associate of Arts in Business degree opens doors to a variety of careers in sectors such as commerce, government, media, and nonprofit work. The bachelor's degree you earn after transferring to a 4-year institution can pave the way to starting or running your own business, positions in entry-level management, bookkeeping, market analysis, and many other careers.

This program is designed to prepare students seeking employment in business management and managerial levels of accounting. Students will receive instruction to gain mastery of the principles, methods, and procedures of accounting, students will gain a broad understanding and appreciation for other elements of management such as finance, communications, economics, and business law.

The Business Department offers transfer programs and non-transfer occupational programs leading to Associate Degrees and Certificates in several business areas. A student who wishes to transfer to a four-year college in business and wants to complete an associate degree prior to transfer should complete the degree in Business Administration or General Business. Accounting, General Business, and Office Skills programs will provide you with the skills needed for immediate employment; they will prepare students for advancement to positions that require more in-depth knowledge of organization and business principles; they will develop and upgrade skills in related business and office technology areas; and/or they will help students acquire entry-level job skills.

Suzhou Centennial College's Business – Accounting program was created for students seeking excellent accounting-related training. This program aims to introduce the basic accounting principles, practices, theories, and related company laws to students through a rigorous curriculum that focuses on expanding employable skills.

This program prepares individuals to practice the profession of accounting and to perform related business functions. This includes instruction in accounting principles and theory, financial accounting, managerial accounting, cost accounting, budget control, tax accounting, legal aspects of accounting, reporting procedures, statement analysis, planning and consulting business information systems, accounting research methods, professional standards, and ethics, and applications to specific for-profit, public, and non-profit organizations.

The Cambridge International AS & A Level Accounting syllabus enables learners to apply their accounting knowledge and understanding in order to analyse and present information, give reasoned explanations, and make judgements and recommendations.

The AA degree in Accounting is designed to qualify students for employment in accounting and/or to provide a foundation for those students wishing to transfer to a four-year institution with a major in Accounting. The Business Administration Diploma in Accounting provides the opportunity to concentrate on an in-demand field. The program provides a wide range of business skills with a focus on financial, managerial, and tax accounting. This gives you a wide range of knowledge and skills valued by the accounting profession.

Accounting is the language of business. Accountants measure business activities, process that data into reports, and use the results to make business decisions. The Accounting Program prepares students for several goals, including transfer to a four-year institution, career advancement for those already employed, self-employment, and completion of many courses needed to take the CPA or CMA exam. Areas of study include accounting for decision making, internal and external use, financial statement preparation and analysis, review of financial accounting standards, individual taxation, payroll and business taxes, computerized accounting software, financial auditing, and ethics in accounting.

Accountants play an essential role in keeping businesses within their budgets, and this program offers real-world application of skills related to private accounting, institutional accounting, certified public accounting, and other career opportunities within the private and public sectors. To qualify for the Associate of Arts in Accounting degree, students must satisfactorily complete the Degree Major requirements specified below and the local AA/AS General Education requirements.

The associate degree in Accounting prepares students for a variety of positions in the accounting field. Many students find part-time employment after completing the initial accounting courses in the program and continue to work while fulfilling program requirements.

The Associate degree in Accounting prepares students for a variety of entry-level positions in the accounting field and also provides a foundation for students who plan to transfer to a four-year bachelor's degree program.

The Accounting Technician Diploma is a two-year program designed to prepare graduates for positions as para-professionals that serve alongside professional accountants in industry, public practice, and government doing much of the support work. Graduates find employment with public accounting firms working on files and basic tax returns; as payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, or general accounting clerks in larger organizations; or as bookkeepers with smaller businesses.
