The general objective of the Master's degree in Disability is to train researchers for the promotion of knowledge in the field of disability and human functioning, based on the constitution of teams of interdisciplinary, inter-institutional, and cross-sectoral facilitate the transformation of the particular context and collective person with a disability. The master's degree in disability shall be competent to: The understanding and explanation of the fundamental tenets that underpin the programme, with analysis from the human development prospects of the approach of the body and the models of action on disability, to encourage the independence, autonomy, and participation of persons with disabilities. The conceptual integration of the processes of science such as philosophy, demography, ethics, medical science, statistics, political science, science, arts and letters, psychology, anthropology, and sociology to understand the situation of disability in a frame biopsychosocial and multidimensional. The design of plans, programmes, projects, and actions of intervention in disability with a framework of equality of opportunity, to participate in processes of interdisciplinary, from the perspective of human functioning in the population with disabilities. Participate in the formulation and development of scientific research projects related to disability, based on the production of scientific knowledge in the field of disability and human performance, facilitate the transformation of the particular context and group of the person in the situation of disability. The Master's degree in disability is aimed at practitioners in the areas of health (Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, Speech therapy, Occupational therapy, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Therapy) in Social Sciences (Psychology, Social Work, Family Development, Education, Architecture, and Industrial Design, and in general, professionals related to the disability.

The Bachelor of Disability Management is a degree with an applied focus. It is the first and only degree of this nature and level internationally. The Bachelor of Disability Management (BDM) provides graduates with the underpinning of knowledge, skills, and competencies, on the one hand, to assist absent workers to return to work and, on the other hand, to assist employing organizations, service providers, and insurers in the public, private and not for profit sectors to introduce and operate cost-effective and responsive DM and return to work programs. The program will be of interest to working adults who seek a credential related to their current field of activity – most frequently health, human resources, occupational health and safety, insurance, union representation, or government services, and to students graduating from high school who wish to pursue a career in workplace health science. In the evolving field of disability management, the degree has been designed to give students the necessary technical skills and to empower them as leaders in reshaping the approach and systems involving workers with disabilities.

This qualification reflects the role of workers in a range of community settings and clients’ homes, who provide training and support in a manner that empowers people with disabilities to achieve greater levels of independence, self-reliance, community participation and wellbeing.

The Honours BA in Contemporary Disability Studies provides qualified Social Care Workers and other professionals with the knowledge and skills to make substantive, positive changes to organisations.

The courses in the Disability Management Practitioner Certificate Program may be taken independently or as a complete 25-course program. These courses emphasize the skills and knowledge required to return to work individuals who have incurred injuries or illnesses and provide an introduction to the competencies that are required to introduce and administer disability management programs. Those students wishing to obtain the Certificate of Completion for the entire program and who have previous education in a particular course subject area may apply to obtain an exemption or prior learning assessment credit.
