1 Second Language Writing PhD Degree Programs

A second language writing course of study offers students the chance to enhance language skills with the written word. Students may continue from this course to be writers, editors, bloggers, journalists and even teachers for both native English speakers and second language learners.

Requirements for the PhD program often involve the student having already obtained a Master’s degree. Additionally, a thesis or dissertation primarily consisting of original academic research must be submitted. In some countries, this work may even need to be defended in front of a panel.
