The Ph.D. Degree in Molecular and Cellular Life Sciences of the Department of Biological Sciences aims at providing students with high quality education of international standing, so that that they can develop a deep understanding of their science and versatile thinking, something critical for their professional career in the modern research and innovation environment.

The program promotes research excellence and educates students on the scientific frontiers and advanced methodologies at the vanguard of interconnected issues related to Climate and Atmospheric Sciences, Energy, Hydrology, Sustainable Built Environment, and Sustainable Policy.

The objective of the Ph.D. program is to train young scientists with up-to-date knowledge and techniques in the fast growing (and of particular importance for the society) field of Advanced Materials and Nanotechnology. The students are specialized in one of the research areas of the program with the aim to create proper conditions for a successful professional career in the public or private sector, in industry or in research organizations.
