1 Hematology PhD Degree Programs

Classes on diseases related to blood disorders and associated problems are the focus of a hematology program. While the courses may look at how blood alters diseases and forms malignancies, the classes can also study the prevention of blood problems such as anemia.

Requirements for the PhD program often involve the student having already obtained a Master’s degree. Additionally, a thesis or dissertation primarily consisting of original academic research must be submitted. In some countries, this work may even need to be defended in front of a panel.
