The new MSc in Computer Science Engineering is one of the most important programs at our Faculty. It aims to provide engineers from technical disciplines relevant to information technology sciences with the skills to pursue a career in computer and information engineering. The program involves a deep understanding of the theory and practice of information, the study of information acquisition, systems, and technical methodologies, and their applications in engineering. The main areas of study include developments in intelligent systems and multiprocessor technology.

The Master of Science (M.Sc.) programs offered at The Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME) are not restricted to those who received their B.Sc. diplomas in engineering at BME. These programs are open to all students who receive diplomas in mechanical engineering, mechatronics engineering or transportation engineering at any of the Hungarian or foreign institutions of higher education.

The programme in MSc in Biotechnology provides opportunities for students to become involved in research activities in various departments of the Faculties of Medicine and Science or to prepare diploma work in biotechnology-based SMEs (Small or Medium Enterprises) or in the pharmaceutical industry.

The aim of the Industrial Systems Engineering (ISE) MSc programme is to educate engineers capable of designing, operating, managing, and developing complex industrial production systems that integrate humans, machines, automated equipment, and artificial intelligence–based solutions. The programme is aligned with the principles of Industry 5.0, emphasising human-centricity, sustainability, and resilience in modern industrial environments.

The MSc in Geoinformatics provides a broad spectrum of GIS, Earth observation, CAD, WebGIS, Database management, GIS programming surface modeling, and 3D visualization-related disciplines for all international students. The program also includes a six-week professional practice at self-selected private and public businesses and companies, however, the practice is also available at the university and at the IGES. By completing the professional practice, the student will gain a broad range of practical and project management skills and knowledge to explain, analyze, interpret and execute various planning programs.

The MSc in Survey Statistics and Data Analytics also provides students with practical knowledge that introduces them to the entire process of data analytics (project management, data collection, data visualization, and business communication). The programme is recommended for applicants seeking a complex programme that is flexible while providing a solid foundation in data analytics.

The goal of this program is to prepare students for the design and development of software for intelligent systems including, e.g. autonomous cars. Students will get up-to-date knowledge in one of the fastest-growing and dominant technological trends of the future. The training offers students the opportunity to acquire valuable knowledge and competences in software technology, real-time systems, artificial intelligence, robotics and deep learning, data mining, computer image and signal processing, process control, computer graphics, and vision. Electives include GIS systems, autonomous systems security issues, and industrial mathematics. Students will be involved in the work of the research labs and can work on real industrial research together with professionals of leading companies interested in autonomous systems and autonomous driving.

In everyday life, we all use geoinformation systems in an unnoticed and self-evident way. Geoinformatics is essentially dealing with the management and processing of spatial data, but also includes map visualization, primary and secondary data collection procedures, and geographic analysis.
