6 Environmental Engineering MSc Degree Programs in Poland

We offer a Master's course in Process Engineering, Environmental Protection for international students. The program provides knowledge on modern technologies of water treatment, wastewater treatment, waste management and utilization. Graduate is able to solve problems related to planning, designing and control of technological processes, supervision and operation of installations for water and wastewater treatment as well as disposal and management of municipal and industrial wastes, independently or in an international team. Graduate knows and applies advanced research techniques and tools as well as analytical and simulation methods.

The Graduate Program in Environment Protection Engineering aims at research and engineering activities concerning the mitigating of negative impacts of human activity on the environment. It is primarily addressed to the alumni of the undergraduate program in environmental engineering or other undergraduate programs in engineering, such as civil, mechanical, or chemical engineering.

The program provides the students with a vast palette of Environmental Engineering topics, to finally bring a solid professional background. The schedule covers Statistics, Project Management, Interactive Decision Making, Fluid Mechanics, Environmental Microbiology and Chemistry, Water Supply and Wastewater Disposal, Water Reuse, Spatial Planning, Groundwater, and Soil Protection, Environmental Impact Assessment, Engineering Surveying, and GIS Applications, Wastewater Engineering, Water Treatment, Waste Management, Urban Hydrology, Water Resource Management, Numerical Modelling of Hydrosystems, Modelling Methodologies for the Environment, Thesis Seminar.

This is a joint MSc programme of Wrocław University of Science and Technology and University of Miskolc (Hungary) formatted as structured student mobility. Wrocław University of Science and Technology students study two semesters in Wrocław (the first and the third semesters) while the second semester is offered by the University of Miskolc. Students apply for an Erasmus Plus grant for the mobility period. In the third semester, the students write and defend their Master's thesis at Wrocław University of Science and Technology.

Specialisation: "Information Systems in Water Resources Management".

During the first semester of their studies, students learn theoretical knowledge of energy systems in cities and buildings, as well as computer analysis and design methods. Classes are conducted in the form of lectures, practical exercises, and laboratories. Upon successful completion of this stage of the program, they receive a certificate confirming the acquired knowledge. In the second semester, they apply this knowledge to solve engineering problems with modern tools and methods.
