MPsy Psychotherapy and Counselling is a four-year training route for applicants who wish to become a practising psychotherapist or counsellor. We educate in the theory, research, and practice of psychotherapy and counselling, complementing professional training in psychotherapy and counselling with the academic rigour of a degree. The degree is an integrated master's degree, which means that a three year undergraduate degree is combined with a final master's year, leading to a master's level qualification.

The Gestalt approach to Child Psychotherapy is based on a human relationship of respect and closeness with the child, promoting the development of their potential. For this, and unlike traditional models of child psychotherapy, we believe that the integration of parents in the process is essential, it is not family therapy because the emphasis is still on the child. The Child Relational Psychotherapy model considers that the child, the parents, the environment form a whole, therefore the symptom is conceived as part of this totality and thus a large part of the child's conflicts are the result of unresolved family conflicts that also slow down the advancement of therapy. The infantile relational therapist promotes the development of new skills in parents and children that favor a good relationship.

Gestalt Psychotherapy has a humanistic approach that is characterized by favoring the growth of the potential of the person. We have a holistic vision, that is, we perceive the person as a complex whole, which is greater than the sum of its parts. Everything exists and acquires meaning within a specific context; nothing exists by itself, isolated. In addition to being deep therapy, Gestalt is essentially a way of living life with your feet firmly on the ground. It is a way of becoming fully, free and open in this world; accepting and taking responsibility for who we are, without using more resources than appreciating the obvious, what it is.

We are an institution with 30 years in Mexico of theoretical and practical work in psychoanalytic psychotherapy and psychoanalysis. - HIGH ACADEMIC LEVEL OF OUR TEACHERS: All have vast clinical and teaching experience and are experts in their area. Said training can be in the institutional or private area and community service is provided.

To train men and women of integrity who, with a vocation for service, social sensitivity, excellent ethical and scientific training are able to: Determine diagnoses, prognoses, and treatment strategies for problems mental health in childhood and adolescence, susceptible to be attended through the psychotherapeutic management from a model with a psychodynamic and humanistic orientation that favor the development and growth of the personality and consider the transcendence of the interaction of the individual with the family and social environment.

This Master is reserved for graduates in psychology (first and / or second level degree), psychologists and psychotherapists, graduates in medicine with psychological training (specialized or specializing in clinical psychology, psychiatry, neurology).

We train magisters capable of carrying out clinical interventions in the psychotherapeutic field. To do this, we have a clinical-psychological method that, based on complex epistemology, articulates theory, practice, and clinical supervision. We are innovative thanks to our epistemological foundation and the training of students in the face of the realities faced by psychotherapists in the contemporary scenario and their contexts. We carry out activities at the CES University of Medellín and at the IPS CES Sabaneta, which guarantees the highest standards of academic excellence and permanent contact with real situations of psychotherapeutic practice.

OBSERVE, SUPPORT, MOTIVATE From the professional point of view, the work in the field of Systemic Family Therapy has started from professionals motivated by related therapeutic interventions. Systemic Family Therapy uses different models of intervention with proven efficacy and increasingly widely used. In the country, there is a need to specialize with depth and breadth for the best and highest performance and job competence in the face of a family, partner, and individual demands that require a comprehensive response to their needs and problems of various kinds. Considering the above, the Free University of Costa Rica presents the PROFESSIONAL MASTER'S PROGRAM IN SYSTEMIC FAMILY THERAPY, aimed at training future therapists in a systemic model, which allows them to intervene in a wide variety of clinical and non-clinical situations, through the training of highly trained professionals. The strict limitation to a small group allows us to offer intensive and individualized practice.
