Delivered by the School of Graduate Studies (SGS), the Master of Pharmacy programme (MPC) at MSU offers a mix of courses that develop valuable practical skills and experience, and builds on students' strong scientific foundation to provide specialist, comprehensive knowledge relevant to contemporary pharmacy practice.

This department aims to nurture specialists who can contribute to medical care, as well as researchers in the field of clinical pharmacy. During the first semester, students are required to take specialized subjects in clinical pharmacy. During the next six months, they learn and practice the work performed by pharmacists on hospital wards at affiliated hospitals. During their second year, students work on a research topic at SPU or a teaching hospital under the guidance of their advisor and write a master's thesis.

This master’s degree programme in Pharmacy gives students integrated, broad-based research training needed to exploit current advances in multidisciplinary areas of pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences.

This course is intended for registered pharmacists, or students who have completed a registrable pharmacy degree, and wish to pursue a career in pharmacy research or gain a competitive advantage in their career by completing an additional postgraduate qualification. Students gain research skills and expertise in their area of research interest, and demonstrate their outstanding academic ability and commitment to pharmacy through the completion of the degree.

The Master's Program in Clinical Pharmacy provides pharmacists with expertise in clinics and the ability to work with other healthcare providers to give optimum healthcare. The program is designed with an emphasis on mastering the theories and the clinical practice; therefore, the outcomes of this program will be the mainstay of the pharmacist profession as expected. It has been accredited both nationally and internationally accredited (by Akkreditierungsagentur für Studiengänge der Ingenieurwissenschaften, der Informatik, der Naturwissenschaften und der Mathematik e.
