Our mission is to educate and empower future leaders in the fields of behavioral health and addictions counseling to provide excellence in service delivery across the entire continuum of care.

This course offers a general introduction to basic concepts and distinctive features of biblical counselling.

Counselling has developed substantially over the past decade. It is increasingly being recognised for its efficacy in practice, and its more practical education and therapeutic approach. This has positioned counselling as a more attractive career option to its more science and statistically based mental health peers.

This course is designed to critically analyze secular and evangelical integrationist theories of psychology and psychotherapy, and to recognize those theories or psychologies as part of larger belief systems, perhaps logically derived from erroneous starting points, while also comparing them to what has been revealed from Scripture and what falls into the study of theology, practical theology, and biblical counselling.

Prepare for a career as a Canadian Certified Counsellor or Registered Psychologist in the Master of Counselling program. The 12-course Master of Counselling program is completed over three years in a blended delivery format. Summer term includes an online portion, as well as a two-week face-to-face component in July. Fall and spring courses are offered online. On-campus accommodation is available.
