4 Composition Master's Degree Programs in Asia

The Composition for Media specialization track is intended for students pursuing a master’s degree in composition seeking to specialize in composing music for cinema, television and the visual media. Over four semesters students will gain experience in composition for a picture, orchestration, use of currently leading DAW software (Logic, Cubase, Pro Tools, Ableton Live), recording and mix.

The Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance offers graduate students a unique international and multi-cultural environment for study and for personal and artistic growth.

The major in Composition has students research creative music theory and techniques through practical tutorials and write unique and fresh works, based on basic music subjects which are composed of music analysis, counterpoint, orchestration, and contemporary music. Although, through practice with computer music, its access to information music for the 21st century is active. From different angles, it approaches creative activities, which are fundamental in all music acts, to produce new composers who will shoulder the future of Korean musical circles. Focusing on church music, also helps them increase the ability to express God's inspiring message of truth.

In the field of composition research at the graduate school, we will strive to develop knowledge and abilities that can fully demonstrate individuality and creativity in the world music scene. It is also a place to deepen research on a comprehensive art genre with faculty members, focusing on the utilization of multimedia and enabling various collaborations. The environment that supports vibrant efforts in research and creative practice is becoming more fulfilling, and today, composers who are attracting attention both inside and outside the country are leaving every year.
