Emerson College’s on-campus MA in Political Communication immerses you in politics from day one, teaching you to create and implement impactful political, social advocacy, and public diplomacy campaigns. Housed in the School of Communication's Department of Communication Studies, our program features faculty who are experienced speechwriters, content creators, and crisis managers, with backgrounds in local elections, US presidential campaigns, and global advocacy efforts. With a rich legacy as the first Department of Communication in the US, our students are deeply committed to politics and social justice, viewing communication as a vital tool for driving change in public opinion and policy.

Upon successful completion of the study program students receive an international private Master in Communication Studies degree awarded by the school's main campus in Zurich, Switzerland, based on the recommendation of the faculty of the local campuses where credits were earned, and upon the recommendation of the school's Academic Council.
