The Bachelor of Journalism and Communication (Honours) (BJC) programme is the first 4-year undergraduate programme in Hong Kong that converges Business, Journalism, Public Relations and Corporate Communication in one curriculum. The programme strikes a balance between theory and practical training. It offers local and overseas internship opportunities as well as exchange programmes to students with a view to broadening their horizons and enhancing their critical thinking, creativity and presentation skills. We strive to train students to become communication professionals in the fields of Business Journalism and Corporate Communication. Students may choose either one of the following two concentrations in the BJC programme:
- Business Journalism
- Corporate Communication
Programme Objectives
To Equip Students with:
- Competence in professional communication in English, Chinese and other forms of communication
- State-of-the-art knowledge of theories and principles in journalism and communication from regional and intercultural perspectives
- Critical and creative abilities in analysing the complexities of media and applying theories to various contexts, especially business contexts
- Competence in converged communication skills in business communication and corporate communication
- A strong sense of social responsibility and high commitment to professional ethics
Entrance Scholarships
International students (ASEAN) / (Non-ASEAN)
Entrance scholarships with quotas are now offered to non-local applicants from ASEAN countries and other countries/regions (excluding Greater China regions), with full/half-tuition fee and accommodation fee for 4 consecutive academic years. On-campus (Year 1) or university administered (Year 2-4) accommodation is guaranteed, subject to scholarship renewal.
Mainland students with non-JEE qualifications, Macao and Taiwan students
Entrance scholarships with quotas are now offered to non-local Mainland students with non-JEE qualifications, Macao and Taiwan students, with full/half-tuition fee for 4 consecutive academic years. On-campus or university administered accommodation is guaranteed for the first year of study for non-local Year 1 students.

Internships
“Internship” is an elective module in the BJC Programme and is offered in the summer of Year 3. Students are given opportunities to work in various reputable news agencies, radio stations, commercial institutions, advertising agencies, marketing companies and public relations companies, including local and overseas ones. This scheme plays a crucial role in providing students with hand-on experience and increasing their employability in the job market.
There are many employment options for graduates, for example:

- Commercial Publishing work
- Corporate & Executive Management positions
- Translations work related to Business, Finance and Trade
- Government civil servants
