The Bachelor in International Relations and Affairs (BIA) gives you the opportunity to learn about both the pragmatic and strategic world of business and the global and sensitive world of international relations. This versatile course prepares you for concrete, positive action, while developing an enlightened vision of tomorrow’s world.
Thanks to innovative teaching methods that include immersive projects, this programme alternates between periods of intense activity and moments of reflection, fostering an in-depth understanding of international affairs.
The Bachelor's degree in Business and International Relations combines an understanding of the business world and global issues to give meaning to knowledge. At the crossroads of business and diplomacy, it prepares students for international careers or further study in a Master's or MSc programme, and is aimed at final-year secondary school students, students changing direction and those who have already obtained their baccalaureate.
The school also provides information on regional, national and international grants that enable eligible candidates to reduce their financial burden.
Scholarships may be awarded for academic excellence or based on social criteria.
The Talent Scholarship

- Open to: high-profile candidates who have a strong academic record. Special consideration is given to applicants who have clear academic and professional merit and can demonstrate the ability to contribute to all aspects of the programme.
- Selection process: scholarship evaluation will be based on the following documents submitted for admission: Transcripts, English score, CV and interview feedback.
- Applicants should also describe how undertaking the programme of their choice will affect their career, educational, and personal goals in their personal statement.
- Amount: up to 5000€ discounted from tuition fees.
Unframed Scholarship
Thinking beyond the frame means opening one’s mind toward other cultures.
- Open to: candidates who are able to demonstrate a unique life experience and/or remarkable extra-curricular activities, along with a global and collaborative outlook and curiosity to find impactful and sustainable solutions.
- Selection process: scholarship evaluation will be based on the following documents submitted for admission: Transcripts, English score, CV and interview feedback, along with a personal statement that will outline their « unframed » profile.
- Recipients of this award will be expected to act as ambassadors for the Rennes School of Business and assist with some marketing activities.
- Amount: up to 5000€ discounted from tuition fees.
« Bienvenue en France » Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded in recognition of the strong dedication of candidates who were eager to learn French even before their arrival in Rennes.
- Open to: applicants who have taken French courses at the « Alliance Française » or at other affiliated language institutions in their home country offering classes in French as a Foreign Language.
- Selection process: candidates will have to submit a certificate of completion from the language institution, which dates less than two years before their application to RSB, showing a minimum A1 level, in addition to a personal statement.
- Amount: 500€ discounted from tuition fees.
Solidarity Fund Scholarship
Rennes School of Business has established a solidarity fund for candidates from emerging countries who are facing currency devaluation due to economic or health crises.
- Open to: candidates from countries that are impacted by currency devaluation.
- Selection process: the evaluation will be based on the candidate’s profile and country of origin, in addition to a personal statement.
- Amount: up to €5000 discounted from tuition fees.

TAPIF Scholarship
Alumni of the Teaching Assistant Programme in France (TAPIF) are welcome to return to France to study their master’s degree at Rennes School of Business.
Our Master’s Degrees span a duration of two years. Individuals with a 4-year Bachelor’s Degree have the opportunity to apply directly to the second year of the program.
TAPIF Alumni are automatically entitled to a 15% reduction in fees for both Master’s years. Furthermore, TAPIF students, upon admission, can apply for additional scholarships.
Rennes School of Business is eligible for U.S Federal Student Aid, providing further financial assistance options for qualified students.

Scholarships for all international students
Social and Solidarity Grants (Bourses Sociales et Solidaires)
Launched by RSB and its Alumni, the Social and Solidarity Scholarships scheme is a school-specific initiative that allows you to participate in the funding of your studies and reward your career path:
- Accessible to all students (except for alternants, césuriens, enrolled in another school and Incoming Exchange Students);
- Amount: between 500 € and 2,000 €

Eiffel Scholarship
The Eiffel Scholarship offers financial support to high-achieving international candidates. Scholarship holders receive about €1200 per month. The scholarship is financed and managed by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development.
Who can apply: any student under 30 years of age with an excellent profile:
- GMAT 650 or above (GRE accepted). (Please note that it is not mandatory for programmes that do not require the completion of the GMAT test.)
- Excellent academic records (GPA)
- Strong motivation and clear objectives
- Awards, previous scholarships, achievements, etc.
Erasmus Grant
Erasmus+ grants are awarded to students doing an internship or part of their studies as part of an exchange (EU). People with disabilities, long-term illness (ALD), CROUS 6 and 7 fellows, residing in a municipality classified as ZRR or FRR, can benefit from an additional grant of €250 monthly.
A travel allowance is allocated to each beneficiary, in accordance with the European Commission’s directives; this may be increased if the student leaves and returns from their host country by train, bus or carpooling (supporting documents).

France Excellence Descartes
This scholarship is available to students from the Netherlands willing to join a Master degree in France (M1 and/or M2). It offers 860€/month (during 10 months) & travel expenses covered.
Scholarships for European students
France Excellence Europa Scholarship
Applicable to European students, this financial aid has been implemented by the European Ministry of Foreign Affairs to value academic excellence across the 26 countries of the European Union, willing to study at Master level. It offers 6 580€/semester and 1700€ for living expenses. To apply, EU students need to send their application form/file to the embassy in the EEUU country the live (you need first to get your enrolment letter from Rennes SB)

Rennes School of Business scholarships/French Embassy
Rennes School of Business, along with the French Embassy in India, offers two scholarships for two Indian students of the Master in Management programme:
- A 2000 € scholarship awarded by RSB for each year of the programme;
- Exemption of visa/CEF charges, access to accommodation in university residences, student social security and benefits linked to French government scholarship status (for each year of the programme).
Charpak scholarship
The Charpak scholarship programme is run by the Embassy of France in India. It offers three types of funding for Bachelor’s and master’s level students.

For Indian students who are looking for an education loan to fund their education, WeMakeScholars can help. It is an organisation that is funded and supported by the IT Ministry, Govt of India. They have helped a few of our students in the past to successfully secure an Education loan from banks in India. As they are the processing partners for 10+ banks, they will be able to suggest the best education loan option matching your profile. Also, their services are free of charge as the initiative is supported by the Digital India campaign.

Jean Monnet Scholarship
Rennes School of Business is referenced on the Jean Monnet Scholarship Programme catalogue. Turkish students can apply for it if they are willing to study a Master degree. It offers full coverage of the tuition fees and 600€/month for living expenses.

Students who have taken out a loan via FIDERH- “Banco de Mexico” can benefit under certain conditions from a Rennes School of Business grant.

Foundation
The first year, known as the ‘Foundation Year’, provides students with a solid grounding in management and international relations fundamentals. It combines geopolitical reflection, crisis resolution and mastery of practical management tools. Through a variety of learning experiences – from creating a business plan to communicating through theatre – students acquire practical skills while developing a global and committed view of the world. This year also includes a seminar entitled Disconnect to Reconnect, designed to give students time to step back through reading, debate and meditation in a unique island setting.

Take Flight
This second year, known as the ‘Year of Flight’, gives students the impetus to open up to the world and explore both its history and its possible futures. Various disciplines such as sociology, artificial intelligence and crisis management prepare them for global issues. A semester of international exchange enriches their intercultural understanding, consolidating their ability to adapt to change. As part of this, the INNOCAPT teaching programme enables them to learn about innovations abroad by observing and analysing innovative practices in their host country. This pivotal year trains agile and responsible players, ready to evolve in a constantly changing global environment.

Alignment
The final year, known as the “Alignment Year,” focuses on essential disciplines that develop a strategic and global vision. From data analysis to political science, including negotiation and international law, each course and project – such as the Reciprocity Solidarity Action Project – builds coherence between skills and learning. This enables students to integrate diverse knowledge and align their values for a career in international business. The year concludes with a long-term internship, offering practical and in-depth application of acquired knowledge, giving their academic journey a comprehensive perspective.

Methods and Evaluation
The teaching methods used in various modules are tailored to the learning objectives. Active learning approaches are prioritised, and hybrid methods are developed. Small group sizes allow for enriched interactions between peers, professional facilitators, and academic researchers.
The programme is validated through a dual evaluation:
- Continuous assessment: evaluations conducted throughout the programme in the form of individual or group assignments,
- Professional thesis: submission of a written document and an oral defence before a jury consisting of the academic and company supervisors.
Upon completion of the programme and successful validation of continuous assessment and the professional thesis, participants receive the *Diplôme de Gestion et de Management des Entreprises*, a Level 6 RNCP-certified qualification. If some modules are not validated, students may take resit exams during the designated periods.
Students are awarded a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs and the Diplôme de Gestion et de Management des Entreprises upon successful completion of all requirements.
