Key Summary
English Language Summer Classes
At ISSOS, we focus on making our students’ English Language learning experience both interactive and immersive, using relevant and interesting topics to help students improve grammar and vocabulary. This real-world focus improves confidence using English in everyday situations and develops the 4 core language skills.
For three weeks, students are fully immersed in the language, speaking, writing and practicing English throughout every day. Research on immersion language learning has consistently shown that this method helps students improve faster and more effectively than traditional, classroom only settings.
Academic classes run for 3 hours every weekday morning and are paired with an elective class choice, letting students explore different interests and develop a well-rounded academic profile.

What Students Will Learn
Our English Language summer programme covers all four core language skills: speaking, reading, writing, and listening. Through activities like writing essays, debating, and discussing real-world issues and interesting topics, students will learn to use English confidently in both academic and social situations.
English classes are split so that students are learning with others of a similar starting level, and our highly qualified teachers will guide them through reading, writing and listening projects and discuss real-life issues to help improve their English.
ISSOS is a 3-week immersion programme, where native and non native English speakers are mixed at all times. This means that students will use English in real-life contexts every day while making friends from all over the world.
The engaged and diverse community at ISSOS also means that students from different backgrounds inspire and challenge each other in classes, creating an environment where everyone shares and learns from unique perspectives.
By the end of the 3 weeks students will have gained both the confidence and skills to continue their language journey and apply what they’ve learned in the future.
*Before arrival, any students with English as a second language will be asked to complete a British Council English Language Test. We do this to make sure that everyone is in a suitable class and will get the most out of their time at ISSOS.
