The online MSW program from the University of Denver equips you to seek social work employment in traditional and nontraditional settings. Led by our expert faculty, you will learn to see individuals and systems through the lens of power, privilege and oppression — and you will graduate prepared to challenge these systems at the micro, mezzo and macro levels. Our MSW graduates pursue roles as behavioral health clinicians, psychiatric social workers, community and economic developers, mental health counselors and more.
- Qualify for the Online Advanced-Standing MSW with a BSW.
- Interact with faculty 1:1 during live sessions or office hours.
- Gain full access to career support and our global alumni network.
As a student in the online program, you will gain a holistic understanding of social work principles through a blend of live online classes and self-paced course content. You will apply the concepts and theories you learn in online classes during field internships. If you are an Online MSW student, you can complete 200 hours of your field internship through our virtual field experience option. The remaining hours must be completed through an in-person community agency setting.
