With a degree in mass communication, you learn to convey your message through a variety of media platforms.

Communicate with purpose

As media continues to evolve from the printed page to other channels like broadcast television, radio, and social media, the need for communicators who can effectively share important information is more crucial than ever. With a degree in Mass Communication, you’ll learn how to write, speak, and use technology in order to clearly and creatively articulate messages - whether you pursue a degree in business, media, sports, or non-profit work.

Our Mass Communication major will ground you in media writing, research, speaking, and interpersonal skills. You’ll be able to communicate messages in mediated and verbal form to a variety of audiences. You’ll also be a voice for the student body, writing for the university newspaper and working at the university radio station. This practical training, combined with a strong liberal arts education that is founded in our Christian mission, will prepare you to communicate to solve problems. This program is also available as a minor.
