The International Master of Science in Environmental Technology and Engineering (IMETE) program addresses these needs by educating a new generation of environmental scientists and engineers that can provide adequate and state-of-the-art environmental technology and engineering solutions to tackle complex, multidisciplinary environmental issues.

This programme prepares you to address evolving urban challenges and lead innovations in sustainable urban mobility. It empowers students to become future urban leaders by embracing complexity and competence beyond the traditional urban planning and civil engineering disciplines.

Agro- and ecosystems offer a wide range of essential goods and services such as food, water, energy and biodiversity. This programme is dedicated to train the next generation of experts in the sustainable management and functioning of natural and agro-ecosystems, not only from a biophysical perspective but also from a wider socio-economic perspective.

The programme trains students from both developed and developing countries with technical and managerial knowledge and skills to: (i) successfully plan, design, operate and manage water resources projects; and (ii) advise and support authorities in policy-making to enhance the safe and equitable use of water resources. A strong focus is put on the use of state-of-the-art numerical simulation tools for integrated water management.

Agro- and Ecosystems Engineering is about ensuring the prosperity and well-being of current and future generations in both the global North and global South. Agro- and ecosystems provide a wide range of essential goods and services such as food, water, energy, and biodiversity. Yet, the contemporary context of population growth, rapid urbanization, economic globalization, climate change, deforestation, soil pollution and degradation challenges the future provisioning of a sufficient quantity and quality of these goods and services.

The Master of Water Resources Engineering addresses water-related issues in developed and developing countries, with a focus on problems in the latter. The general program objective is to educate professionals and scientists who contribute effectively to the development and management of water resources on both a local and global scale.
