The BEng in Electrical and Computer Engineering program follows the outcome-based teaching and learning approach.  Given the special emphasis of the Nazarbayev University to be a leader in the Education within Kazakhstan and to be respected internationally, the program will focus on skill development that enables our graduates to compete internationally in the job market, research, and to be entrepreneurs who lead change in the local contexts. The program positions itself as the leading ECE program in Kazakhstan, by integrating inquiry, research, and projects in solving relevant problems facing society today. The students in the program get exposed to the research activities in any of the four research groups in the department: (1) Circuits and Systems, (2) Communications and Signal Processing, (3) Power Systems, and (4) Computer Engineering.

The Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering degree program in the School of Engineering is based on an innovative curriculum of systems-based education (where engineering problems are tackled in an integrated way), combined with specializations in the areas of mechanical and aerospace engineering.

The purpose of the educational program is to train competitive specialists in the education system of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the fundamental knowledge to implement pedagogical activities in the field of biology teaching.

Petroleum Engineering graduate program at Nazarbayev University is a two-year, full-time M.Sc. degree program designed to provide students with a scientific background in hydrocarbon exploration, reservoir engineering and management, oil and gas production, and skills in the practical aspects of petroleum engineering.

Biomedical Engineering is a relatively new field that bridges the traditional disciplines of engineering and Medicine. Examples of Biomedical engineering contributions are the development of pacemakers, high-tech machinery for blood dialysis, and systems for medical imaging through X-ray or magnetic resonance tomography.

Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical and Materials Engineering is the engineering discipline that makes extensive use of both chemical and physical transformations to achieve added value. This profession relies on the concept of "scale-up", that is, the transition of discovery (a new material, a new catalyst, a new molecule, a new physical phenomenon) from the laboratory to the production plant.

The Master of Engineering Management degree program is offered by the School of Engineering and Digital Sciences in partnership with the Graduate School of Business at Nazarbayev University. The aim of the program is to prepare students with the technical skills and business knowledge for the leadership of engineering-related units of enterprises with innovative solutions for complex business problems.

The Master of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering program provides a comprehensive technologic and scientific preparation for engineers in following four key areas of Civil and Environmental Engineering, which are in perfect alignment with today’s technological challenges: Structural Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, and Construction Management. By delivering an MSc at an international standard level, we are offering our master’s students future opportunities in terms of Ph.D. and positions in the research center.

The MSc in Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering provides a comprehensive technologic and scientific preparation for engineers in 3 (three) key areas of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering: Applied Mechanics; Energy and Thermofluids; and Engineering Design, Materials, and Manufacturing, in perfect alignment with today's technological challenges.

The program is the first undergraduate Robotics and Mechatronics degree program in Kazakhstan. It is also one of the first Robotics and Mechatronics programs in the world. The program will educate young engineers for working with the latest intelligent robotics and mechatronics systems in different industries, creating local robotics and mechatronics companies and preparing them for graduate work.

The Ph.D. program in Petroleum Engineering fully taught in English, is designed to provide a sophisticated knowledge base and advanced skills at the expert level for individuals planning a career in academia, industry, and research settings in any of the subfields of the Petroleum Engineering discipline.
