DETI is proud to present its Electrical Engineering Doctoral Program focused on the main areas of Electrical Engineering, particularly on Telecommunications, Control, Signals Processing, Embedded Systems, Robotics.

The Master’s in Electrical and Computer Engineering is guided by a constant perspective of applied research and development, focusing on the research and implementation of solutions for concrete problems. Provide a solid cultural and technical background in Electrical Engineering, aiming to develop the capabilities for innovation and critical analysis.

It is the Engineering area that develops the activities of conception, design, implementation, and utilization of devices and systems that involve electrical energy in their operation and also that resort to computers to serve a very wide range of applications. Electrical and Computer Engineers are responsible for the enormous technological revolution that we have witnessed in the last decades in fields as varied as mobile communications, renewable energies, electrical mobility, or the increasing automation of our industries.

The aim of the MSCA is to train engineers to design, build and adjust electronic systems for the space environment. In electronic systems we include technologies related to computer control and automation systems, telecommunications systems and sensor systems used in space. This training will have an obstinacy, always present: acquisition of skills to develop efficient and 100% reliable equipment in a hostile environment, such as space. It is intended to develop personal and interpersonal skills that facilitate academic and professional integration in an environment where challenges are permanent. Teamwork and business management, assimilated throughout this training, will allow finding solutions to the challenges arising from the space industry.

The cycle of studies aimed at obtaining a master's degree in Electrical Engineering - Telecommunications comprises 4 semesters (2 academic years), with the degree awarded to those who obtain 120 ECTS. The main objective of the Master in Electrotechnical Engineering - Telecommunications is the development of skills started in the first cycle of studies in the area of ​​Electrotechnical Engineering with an emphasis on Telecommunications. It also aims at the acquisition and development of scientific and pedagogical skills necessary for the exercise of senior management functions in public and private companies.

The Master in Electrical and Computer Engineering (MEEC) is divided into two areas of specialization: Renewable Energies and Power Systems (ERSP) and Computers and Communication Systems (CSC). This master's degree ensures the acquisition of a specialization of a professional nature through an effective laboratory component and the realization of a Dissertation / Project with companies, enhancing the integration of graduates in the labor market.

Electrotechnical Engineering provides training in key areas of support to society in the 21st century.
