The Education department affirms the mission, vision and training philosophy of AIU in its commitment to scholarship, research, teaching, faithfulness to the evangelical faith and tradition, and its desire to produce men and women who can transform the landscape of education in Africa and beyond within a Christian framework.

This is one of its kind program in Africa. An MAMFT approach focuses on the strengths and resiliency of family systems and communal resources to restore and build family relationships.

This is a research-based, highly individualized course of study in a specialized area of education. It prepares candidates at the highest level as leaders and managers in higher learning institutions. These would be informed by theory and practice of current knowledge and research in four main areas of concentration that address: teaching, curriculum designs, administration and management of educational programs, child development and family studies, and general Christian education studies for church and parachurch educators.

This is a professional program of study offered to those who intend to teach or administer diverse educational programs but have not gone through the required professional training in education. It is a one-year program. It provides an in-depth exploration of topics and competencies that are required for teachers in diverse educational environments.
