In the Drawing & Painting program, you will expand your knowledge of contemporary painting through traditional and experimental approaches.

The M.F.A. in Art offers concentrations in ceramics, drawing and painting, new media, photography, and sculpture. An M.F.A. in Art with a concentration in graphic design is jointly supported by the Department of Graphic Design in the Stuckeman School and the School of Visual Arts.

This program prepares individuals to communicate information, entertainment and ideas through animation and cinematic arts. This includes practical, hands-on instruction in how to plan and produce a variety of animated works seeing the project through from concept to practice including but not limited to storyboarding, directing, editing, and all aspects of animation film production.

What is the Comic Art Career Program? It is an international degree that prepares you to become a professional comic artist, with dual certification USA–Spain, hands-on training in sequential art, visual storytelling, and character design, plus a competitive portfolio for international publishers and agents.

The Illustration program at the University of Europe for Applied Sciences (UE) combines the traditional arts such as painting, drawing, and printmaking with the fascination of contemporary design using modern, digital techniques. Illustrations visualize complex content in newspapers, magazines, infographics, advertisements, posters, websites, and apps. They tell stories in picture books and comics and create entire films or virtual worlds in storyboards and concept art.

The MA/MFA Performance is an exciting master's program that offers a practical, versatile, and interdisciplinary approach to performance-making and training. The program provides students with an advanced and practical understanding of current performance practices, drawing on a broad range of artistic and theoretical influences.

An emphasis on Fine Arts provides the student with an understanding of the practices and theories of traditional and contemporary two- and three-dimensional studio arts and an introduction to the history of Western art.

Learn the skills to bring your imagination to life in OCAD University’s new Experimental Animation program. OCAD U has a long history of graduating successful animators in art and film including George Dunning who directed The Beatles’ Yellow Submarine and Richard Williams who was animation director for Who Framed Roger Rabbit. More recently, alumni include computer animator Trudy Elmore and emerging VR artist Jawa El Khash. Shary Boyle, who represented Canada at the Venice Biennale, has achieved great success with her mesmerizing performances using hand-animated imagery. In this program, you’ll develop a personal artistic vision and push the boundaries of animation as a contemporary art form. You’ll mix traditional and digital media using 2D, 3D, stop-motion, digital compositing and augmented/virtual reality. At the end of this four-year program, you will earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.
