Aquincum Institute of Technology offers foundational courses, like Data Mining and the Structure and Dynamics of Complex Networks. Students will learn about how to apply these theories to the complex task of decoding the human genome, and will become familiar with the IT challenges in computational biology and personalized medicine.

The Course of Studies in Animal Welfare and Production Technician (TeBAP) aims to train a professional figure (Curriculum 1: Assistant to the veterinary medical profession) mainly oriented towards the well-being and management of companion animals (pets), including non-conventional ones (NAC = new companion animals) and wild animals, and to activities related to their management and possible use (Pet Therapy, activities assisted with animals), as well as (Curriculum 2: Animal breeding and production) responding to current needs, regarding activities in the production sector animals that encompass the entire production chain from the improvement of breeding techniques to quality of animal feed and products of animal origin, to the control of the transformation and conservation processes of food products.

The Bachelor Degree in Biosciences and Biotechnology is an interclass degree: it consists of a common first year, where the student is provided with a solid base in mathematics, physics, chemistry, and cell biology, followed by a second and third year when the student follows either the program leading to the Biology or Biotechnology degree. Upon enrollment in the interclass degree, students must indicate the qualification desired (Biology or Biotechnology); however, the final decision between the two program degrees can be delayed to the third year, provided that the missing credits have been fully covered.
