5 Agronomy Course Programs

Purdue’s Agronomy Department provides global leadership in plant genetics, plant physiology, meteorology, and soil and water sciences, enhancing the quality of life through discovery, education and engagement.Agronomic Business and Marketing prepares students to meet the high demand for professionals in technical sales and marketing or professional field agronomy with strength in business. Crop and Soil Management is for students interested in applying basic agronomic information to practical situations or problems.

At the Faculty of Agronomy we deal with modern agricultural production, including precision agriculture, plant breeding, food technology, applied technology, improving the effectiveness of cancer treatment, topics related to ecology and climate change, and other topical issues. The study will interest you not only with its focus but also with its rich practical teaching. 

To program, organize, manage and execute, autonomously or in a team, the activities of a holding in Organic Production Mode (MPB) the techniques of production and transformation of organic products, including water and soil management, plant breeding practices, pest and plant disease control, animal health and welfare, and certification, quality control and farm food security in the field of MPB.

Field and lab identification, systematics, natural history, and ecology of vascular plants as components of natural communities.
