Studying a Master's Programme in Composition at KMH means being in a creative environment with sound and music creation in focus. For a long time, we have trained the most outstanding composers in jazz music, operating both nationally and internationally. In the Master's Programme in Composition you can choose between three different profiles: Electroacoustic Music Jazz Western Art Music You choose one of these but may study some courses with students in the other profiles. The purpose of the programme is to educate composers for the national and international music scene.

The Master’s Programme in Music aims to educate musicians possessing a high level of artistic and professional ability. We offer specialisations in Composition, Composition – Scoring for Film and Media, Guitar, Harpsichord, Jazz Improvisation, Music Drama – Répétiteur, Piano, Recorder, Symphony Orchestra Instruments, and Vocal Studies or Vocal and Drama Studies. On completion of the programme, the student must have well-developed knowledge and skills in order to work in a professional capacity in various forms – either as a soloist, a member of an established ensemble or in freely formed groups.
