To offer the best mining engineering program in Canada, Polytechnique Montréal and McGill University have merged their teaching and established a joint cooperative education program, that is to say, work-study - studies. The program is presented in such a way as to quickly cover the material relating to the specialty and to prepare students as soon as possible for their internships in the mining industry. The specialty is taught in French at Polytechnique and in English at McGill, but students are free to answer exam questions in either language using questionnaires written in both languages.
