The inter-university master's degree course in Historical Studies from the Middle Ages to the Contemporary Age is active from the academic year. 2012/2013 and results from the merger of the homonymous LM activated at the University of Trieste from 2009-2010 with the Historical Sciences component (LM-84) of the interclass LM in Historical and Philosophical Sciences activated at the University of Udine from 2009-2010 . For both courses, the transition to the inter-university modality was determined by a number of factors, such as the already active collaboration achieved between the two universities (both for other LM courses and on the third level [research doctorates]) and the breadth of the catchment area.

Native Studies focuses on how colonialism – both historical and contemporary – impacts Indigenous nations, as well as on the many forms of resistance to it. Our courses draw primarily upon the work of indigenous scholars, and emphasize indigenous approaches to knowledge. Many span diverse geopolitical contexts.

With a BA in Critical Race and Ethnic Studies, you'll examine race and ethnicity in social, political and cultural contexts that are both contemporary and historical. Our dynamic courses unpack race relations both in the U.S. and globally. Throughout your studies, you're encouraged to build on critical theory in the classroom by practicing ethically engaged citizenship.

The B.A. in CS+History will prepare students to apply their knowledge and skills in the development, implementation, and use of computer software and hardware to explore a concentration in digital history. Upon graduation, students will be able to build and manage digital archives, apply data and textual analysis techniques to historical texts, and create innovative ways to represent and interpret historical events.

Bachelor of Social Sciences honours graduates are equipped to become researchers or practitioners in various professional domains.
