The inter-university master's degree course in Historical Studies from the Middle Ages to the Contemporary Age is active from the academic year. 2012/2013 and results from the merger of the homonymous LM activated at the University of Trieste from 2009-2010 with the Historical Sciences component (LM-84) of the interclass LM in Historical and Philosophical Sciences activated at the University of Udine from 2009-2010 . For both courses, the transition to the inter-university modality was determined by a number of factors, such as the already active collaboration achieved between the two universities (both for other LM courses and on the third level [research doctorates]) and the breadth of the catchment area.
