6 Pedagogy BA Degree Programs

The English Department offers degree-concentrations in a variety of specialized areas of study: literature, creative writing, digital technology, and pedagogy. All of these concentrations promote advanced literacy: critical reading and high-quality writing.

The Pedagogy BA provides a comprehensive understanding of learning and teaching, combining theoretical and practical knowledge in education and related fields (e.g., psychology, educational history, philosophy, sociology, policy, and digital education).

The aim of the programme in BA in Pedagogy (Intercultural Educational Assistant Specialization) is to train educational professionals, who understand that education is a process of human, cultural and social development that takes place in the family/at home, in communities, in schools and the workplace.

The specialty Psychopedagogy combines pedagogical knowledge with psychological knowledge and skills. Graduates of the therapy of people with a spectrum of autistic disorders have competences in the field of pedagogical therapy, sensory integration therapy, therapy of people with pervasive development disorders, therapy of emotional and social disorders, early support for child development, implementation of alternative and supportive methods of communication, etc. They are equipped with the skills to conduct pro-inclusive activities (including inclusive education) towards people with an autistic spectrum disorder.
