BA (Hons) Interior Architecture and Design program focuses on the design and development of internal spaces with an emphasis on the relationship between architectural context and designed interior. It equips graduates with relevant knowledge and creative skills to be professional interior designers or interior architects.

The Department of Art & Design, one of the most distinctive departments in Hefei University, has developed its running mode featuring industry and education combination after years of exploration. It offers six undergraduate specialties, i.e., Industrial Design, Product Design, Visual Communication Design, Environmental Design, Animation, Art, and Technology. At present, the department has 1,200 full-time students and a faculty of 60 including three professors and 6 associate professors. The department has over 10 visiting professors from Hannover University of Applied Sciences of Germany, Magdeburg University of Applied Sciences, Hanbat University of Korea, Taiwan Ming Chuan University and Yunlin University of Science and Technology. To expand the visions of students, corporate executives and experienced designers are invited and lectures are given on a regular basis.

The BA (Hons) Product Design courses aim specifically to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and understanding, as well as the contacts and networking experience, to establish themselves as design professionals.

Kyoto, where our university is located, has two faces; it is at once traditional and avant-garde. Our Faculty of Art and Design covers almost all areas, including the fields of fine art, contemporary art, graphic design, animation, manga, film, fashion design, jewelry design, interior design, architecture, landscape architecture, theater, and literature. In addition, we offer research programs in fields such as art production and historical heritage.

The Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Design Practice course, validated by the world-renowned University of the Arts London (UAL), is a three-year course that will propel your career in the design industry.

This course aims to create designers that are skilled in graphic arts and would be able to bring their skills beyond the boundaries of conventional graphic design.

The course is distinguished by an emphasis on experimentation, versatility and technical expertise. Students are supported by access to industry-standard software, workshops and studio environments. Typical graduate portfolios might include branding, publicity, info-graphics, animations, publishing or web and app design in a range of technology and media. Students have the opportunity to work on a mix of in-house assignments, self-initiated tasks, Singaporean, Asian, and international competition opportunities and live project briefs. The course is well established and prides itself on its ability to adapt and thrive in changing intellectual, professional and technical environments.

The course is distinguished by an emphasis on story-telling, character-creation and the development of a professional ethos. Students are supported by access to industry-standard software, workshops and studio environments. Typical graduate portfolios might include complete books, comics, animations and films in a range of technologies and media from a mix of in-house assignments, self-initiated tasks, national / international competition opportunities, and live project briefs. Students are allowed to define their own trajectory, subject to staff approval and may decide to specialize in either print or moving image based projects, so are not limited to a single medium.
