11 Arts Degree Programs

The Master of Arts in Multimedia Arts and Design – the first program of its kind recently set up in central/southern Italy – succeeds in fully embracing this complex area of studies, addressing the increasingly central role played by digital technologies and techniques in the design of multimedia spaces and works.

San Jose City College offers both an Associate in Arts (AA) and Associate in Science (AS) in Art degree. Students planning to follow a transfer pattern should use the Associate in Arts degree. This degree may not transfer to all universities, and students need to inquire of the universities if they have a bachelors degree for their upper division course work. The Associate in Science has 2 possible areas of emphasis: Drawing and Painting or Photography. A minimum of 3 courses in the Art major must be taken at San Jose City College. A grade of "C" or better is required in each course in the major and area of emphasis for graduation.

San Jose City College offers Associate in Science (AS) degrees and certificate programs emphasizing three major areas in Media Arts: Print Media, Motion Arts, and Web/Interactive Design. The Media Arts program is a unique, interdisciplinary approach to the converging fields of journalism, communication and new media technology. It responds to the need for people skilled in effective communications in all levels of society including industry, education, art and music, and the public arena.

Moore’s Master of Arts in Art Education with an Emphasis in Special Populations is a rigorous program that prepares and empowers art educators to develop skills for adapting and implementing strategies that enrich all learners' lives.

The Davis & Elkins College art program prepares you with a strong foundation in the arts, design, art theory and art history to build on in your chosen medium – drawing, painting, ceramics, sculpture, printmaking, digital media. Whether you choose to major or minor in art, you’ll learn alongside dedicated, mentoring faculty who are working artists and active in the field.

The eight-month Art Fundamentals (AFD) certificate program provides a strong foundation in traditional and digital art. Designed to build skills in art, design, creativity, communication and critical thinking, AFD will prepare you for further education and a career path in fields such as animation, illustration and graphic design. You will experience hands-on learning under the guidance of working artists.

The School of Architecture and Design was established in 1974, under the name of Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts. Its objective is to orient young people towards a brilliant future, while its mission consists of the development of creativity and human potential.

The Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) may be undertaken in any discipline within the Arts or Sciences. The degree offers ABDs or those who have earned sixty-six graduate credits from an accredited institution the opportunity to complete their doctoral studies.

This leading level 4 UAL Foundation course at Morley College will challenge and develop your interests, skills, and understanding of art and design. The course is designed to encourage exploration, experimentation, and risk-taking through project assignments, presentations, and group critiques.

This two-year diploma program enables you to pursue a university education in the sciences and complete a diploma and a university degree in as little as four years at the University of Toronto (St. George or Scarborough), York University, or Trent University. Courses include Math, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and a range of Humanities and Social Sciences.
